Hooktor Fish Addict Posts: 646 Kudos: 651 Votes: 67 Registered: 22-Mar-2004 | On the fishprofiles.com profile of paradise fish it says that it would be comaptible with covict cichlids. But i have a 20 gallon and i do not think that it a big enough tank for convicts. I would love to explore the cichlid world, but i do not want to have to get rid of my paradise fish. Would a smaller cichlid be possible to keep in a 20 gallon? I was thinking of a pair maybe. Any input would be greatly appreciated. |

They tend to be peaceful, and should get along just fine with paradise fish. Also, dwarf cichlids stay very small (usually no greater than three inches), so you can easily keep a pair in twenty gallons. |

I think i am going to take a trip to the LFS today. My tank is also at 78°. I have a few rock structures, should i get half a pot to put in there? Thanks for the awsome responses! |

Rams appreciate a place to go when they are stressed. What else is in that tank? Is it just one paradise fish? How many rams do you want to add, and what kind? I just want to clarify these things, to make sure that there won't be any problems. |

Hooktor Fish Addict Posts: 646 Kudos: 651 Votes: 67 Registered: 22-Mar-2004 | I have one male and one female paradise fish. Also i have two night gobys, but i have a friend who is willing to take them since she wants them and i dont mind giving them up, if it would better to not have them in the tank. I am going to get a pot, what is the best way to sterilize them? Thanx sirbooks for all your awesome help and quick responses! |

Well i got the two blue rams, Billy (the girl) and Tyrese. I am pretty sure they are a male and a female, one has more sparkly blue on its face, so i think that is the male, and the larger one has a pink section on her ventral side, so i suppose it is the female, Thank you all for your responses! |
