goldfishgeek Fish Addict Posts: 667 Kudos: 412 Votes: 38 Registered: 27-Oct-2003 | I found this information on Paradise fish. [link=http://null]http://null" style="COLOR: #000040[/link][link=http://www.fishpondinfo.com/parad.htm#quick]http://www.fishpondinfo.com/parad.htm#quick" style="COLOR: #000040[/link] The betta's round here are such poor quality, I would like to try some thing different. I have a feeling a 2G would be too small? I also have a five g but had plans for cherry barbs.... so is the information accurate? does anyone have any experiences? and can one go in a 2 g? Unlike their other labyrinth fish cousins such as Bettas and Dwarf Gouramis, Paradise Fish are very very active and constantly on the move, hunting, searching, eating, and having fun. I wouldnt put one in any less than a 10g tank, with a 15g tank being even better. Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |

If you have ever had a betta or gourami, you'll like these. Minimum 5 gal for this fish. I had one (Zen) for a bit in my 5g planted hex.. Perfect setup until the landlady cranked the central air one day.. THE STORY OF 'ZEN' When I first got it, I let it 'play' in the community tank. It swam to all areas of the tank, keenly inspecting everything with a high degree of awareness and curiosity. I thought to myself, AWESOME !! What a SMART fish !! Really loves the plants too ! And I smiled, a proud fish owner. Nice colors and fins too ! The next day I realized... It had sniped off every single guppy fry I had. Like 30 something. It was HUNTING. ]:| Pop ! into the hex it went.. Bad fishie !! Last edited by DaFishMan at 23-Sep-2005 17:55 The Amazon Nut... |
