I am looking for a small, solitary, peaceful Gourami that would live happily in my tank. If anyone can help thanks.

Well, any gourami can do well alone, and most are relatively peaceful.

Honey Gouramis are even smaller than dwarf gouramis. They are just as pretty as the dwarf gourami.

I have a sparkling gourami...small, very pretty, peaceful, solitary (info)

Not seen very often in lfs in my area, I had to order mine online. Definitely worth it though!

I agree except I personally think that when the honey's are happy they look more beautiful than the dwarfs and seem happy to be on their own as I have two and they always seem to be apart from each other.

I personally loved my Indian Banded Gourami. It was so peaceful. It looks more like a cichlid than a gourami. But very gentle, and it was not shy, it ate out of my hands at every feed time. It never picked on any other fish.

ps. I only kept one of these fellas in a community tank, and he got on fine with all my other fish. So keeping only one shouldn't be a problem. But in saying that, it all depends on the personality of the fish.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking of the sparkling or honey because I know my lfs has these. They also have dwarf gouramis too. Any more suggestions?
