I bought lovely betta today Decided I really want to go back to VTs and play with colour without having kittens over type and needing to inbreed dramatically because of lack of stock.

I had originally gone with an 'orange dalmation' but unfortunately he passed away without spawning. I have a lovely HM female in the same colour though, and it would be a crying shame not to breed her, so I went shopping.

Its a cellophane yellow with opaque yellow spots. Really weird colour, but really nice fish

Has anyone seen that before? I'm rather pleased with him Curious how his young will turn out, no idea how you get to that phenotype!

Anyway, piccies soon, but if anyone has played with that colour or something similar, I'd really love to know in caseI can find a better pairing.

Actually, I'm a bit worried, I'm not even sure I have food for them yet *panics* so I have to go dig through the stash! I have been having such bad luck I neglected my cultures!

That top pic is a unique looking fish. I've not seen a betta with clear fins like that before.

They certainly didn't waste any time! I can't wait to see the results!
