I've had him for a long time now (over a year), and he had no problems, but since today he's lying on the side as if he's dead. it's like he can't control it, something makes him flip to his side.

I put a mirror infront of him, and then he acts normal - he flares and swim from side to side, but then he stops again, flips on the side and stays at the same place, only his eyes are moving

does it sounds familiar to anybody? can I do anything about it?

I think he's just old. check your water but i think he's just getting on in age.

It could be his swim bladder? so again check you water.

Oh dear trooper, I dunno, but it sounds like he is getting on in years. I've just lost my old man, and the behaviour sounds very similar.

He was around for months after he started that carryon though, so don't give up just yet.

For animals, the entire universe has been neatly divided into things to (a) mate with, (b) eat, (c) run away from, and (d) rocks. - Terry Pratchett
