 | Spawning RIGHT NOW!!! |
Stormy   Big Fish Posts: 357 Kudos: 606 Votes: 81 Registered: 13-Mar-2004   | YIPPY!!! I am so happy! I was starting to think this pair was going to have no interest in one another. I had literally JUST emailed a friend of mine to tell her I was going to give up on them, walked into my bedroom just in time to see my male scooping up the falling eggs and putting them in the nest!  Too thrilled for words right now. They are a GORGEOUS pair! Excellent lines, imported from Thailand. The male is a turquoise marble plakat, and the female is a yellow plakat. They should make some wonderful fry. SOOO excited! |

Many years ago, I too witnessed the amazing reproductive process of Bettas -- from building the bubble nest to free swimming fry -- and have never forgotten this awesome miracle of nature! Sadly, I neither have the time or space (especially when the fry reach the jarring stage) to breed Bettas at the present time... But I truly enjoy the success of others! ENJOY! ENJOY! ENJOY!
