I too keep females with Angels AND Gouramies ! Absolutely zero problems. It is abig tank though.

I also have a betta with an angel but he's a plakat so the same applies.

i think its because its a female. they are generally less agressive and they dont have long yummy fins

First of all I'd like to thank ... bla bla bla bla... But for real, my Betta is honored to have been chosen as a winner, I just hope she won't burst with pride Thanks to Daniel for organizing this copetition and thanks to the unknown judge(s?) for picking my girl. Of course I'd be interested in seeing the final score card. As this girl won the competition, I will retire her for life out of any other "best Betta" competitions, so the field is wide open for next time Good luck everyone!

I'd love to be able to know my betta's score, and any comments made about him. He's only the second betta I've ever had, and he wasn't even a planned purchase!

yes the scores of everyone's betta (that is in VT category) can have their score upon request. There is also an additional comment piece that was submitted by this particular judge (If only I could tell u her name so u could tell them yourself how thankful u r, but to prevent bias, I keep them a secret.)

Wow! I am really shocked my little guy won! I'm sure I squeaked by the other contestants by the skin of my teeth! Just wanted to say thanks and good job everyone, especially Daniel for putting this together! This was fun and I hope we can keep doing more!

Wow! Nice bettas! Well, at least the veiltails are really nice looking. I'm kinda sad that I didn't win, but it's no big deal. Is there any chance that the non-winners can see their scores?

Female: I believe it was submitted by Bonke, but correct me if i am wrong. Score:43

From one humble winner to another...Congratulations!!!BTW our male and female look like they'd make a good couple Just curious but do you keep that angel and your Betta in the same tank? I've been told this is a no-no, but you probably have them in a big enough tank right?

Cool! That female who was unknown is mine. Her name is Ming. She really is that color in real life. She was imported from Thailand. She is one of my favorites.

Daniel, when is the next contest i recently got two new CTs and my VT no long has fin rot(poor Fishy)....i would really like to know what people think about them

no idea, but its probably not a white/opaque, its probably going to be a cambodian platinum red butterfly... i think, they are so hard to photograph
