Wacky Bubble Nest Builder | |

He had built a bubble nest in one corner and I was very happy for him. Now today I woke up, and found that he had gone bubble crazy, he keeps blowing bubbles all over the tank...each bubble is about an inch apart from the last one, they almost look like constellations. I'm not really worried, I just thought it was a little odd. Any thoughts on why he does this? ThAnKs ~FF~ -Formerly known as the Ferretfish |

Male labyrinth fish build bubble nests, and after mating w/ a female, they will pick up the eggs and spit them out into the nest. |

I'm sure it is just a sign that he is a healthy acitve betta. Good luck! |

Fear me!" or simple boredom. Not sure what the random bubbles mean, though. *shrugs* ~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~ |

I've got two that are bubblenest champs- Dee (who's not much bigger than Hikari) builds nests that are about an inch to an inch and a half thick, and Arashi pretty much covers the entire surface of his tank, so he must be really happy. |
