Want to have more . . . | |
Betta_Fantasy Hobbyist Posts: 94 Kudos: 44 Votes: 0 Registered: 30-Dec-2005 | I just bought a ten gallon tank and currently only have my male betta fish there, and I want to stock more, any good companions? Would a ten gallon be too small for a dwarf gourami? Thanks |

Good tankmates would be tetras, rasboras, and other small schooling fish. Last edited by Cory Addict at 30-Dec-2005 15:06 I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

A general guidline to follow is that the larger, deeper-bodied tetras tend to be more nippy while the narrower-bodied tetras are fine with bettas. There are exceptions to the rule though, for example Black Phantom Tetras (deep-bodied but very peaceful and fine with bettas) and Silvertip Tetras (narrow-boddied but very nippy as far as tetras go).
