ok, I realy want to record every little bit about breedign bettas, so if I ever find a pair I cant spawn, I can se what I had done in the past and such Also, I want to just be organized about this..

Cover for the log book

So far, all the information I can think of to include about the individuals is:
A picture
Color and gender
Temprament
where it was purchased
Who the parents are
A few extra notes about how they do with other bettas

It feels incomplete

i would include:

finnage, rays, age, breeding partner & what you plan on getting from the spawn, genetics, breeding faults, general characteristics, type of conditioning, and a complete date and time log, number of times bred, father parental characteristics, breeding tank set-up, temp, ph.

i had someother factors in my mind, but i forgot them. i will edit if i remember.


o and BTW, over the past few years i been struggling with myself and what part of fishkeeping i wanted to do. and for awhile i thought it was bettas and than i went fish soul searching. after phases i am starting to see that what i do the best and love the best was betta breeding. and i think i want to get back into betta breeding after seeing you katie, so thanks for reminding me of what i loved. i currently have only a CTM and 2 females, but we will see what is next. thanks again katie.

Hey, how about I send you some of those PKs when they are older? I know I wont have use for 20 of them, I will keep a handfull sell some around, and send some over to you, maybe a trade?

thanks, I will see if I can use it, The way i'm doing it is making the pages, then printing them out and adding them to the log..
