Which fish to get? | |
sham Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3369 Kudos: 2782 Votes: 98 Registered: 21-Apr-2004 | Last year I spawned paradise fish outside but they were a bit too agressive and most fish stores weren't too excited about them. The blue gourami or dwarf gourami and various color morphs are far too common. Most places have more of those fish than they have tank space. I want a small, peaceful, colorful, less common gourami. The 2 I managed to find so far are Licorice gourami(Parosphromenus deissneri) and sparkling gourami(Trichopsis pumilus or Ctenops pumilus). I can add either one onto an order of threadfins and rams I'm getting. Neither of these are sold within at least an hour drive of me and they seem more versatile to various tank setups than the paradise fish. Which one should I choose? Any other suggestions? |

Planting with water sprite, hornwort, wisteria, and duckweed. For soft water I'll have to let it fill with rain water. |
