.8 gallon would be okay, but something in the 1-5 gallon range would be much better. In the .8 gallon, make sure you do 100% water changes every 5-7 days, and don't forget to add dechlor everytime. If you get a tank a little bigger, you have the possibilty of adding tankmates such as shrimp and frogs. G/L
