fishyhelper288 Fish Guru Posts: 2161 Kudos: 1951 Votes: 137 Registered: 29-Feb-2004 | when i first saw him, his fins were gros like a washed out yucky brown, and his body was sooo pale but, he has RED eyes i tried to get him to flair up at my choco butterfly male, but he just looked at him like "so what" then i tried him on my aggressive ex-large male crowntail, pretty boy tried him hardest, but eventually got bored, because the new betta just sat there (and he was in there for a few hours too!) then, my last try was on my females, still nothing!!! but he did sort of start to show some actuall color in his fins!! so, i left him there all night, and all night he never flaired, so this morn i released him with the feales, and dovii swam right into the cup with him, but he just went up for air he swam out and them right before my eyes, he got DARK PINK FINS and as i watched him for quite a while, and then he kept changing color from dark to light and a few hours later i looked in, and he had a little body color purpley stripes, like a cambo, im in love! but i finally have a betta with a tiny bit of albino in him *jumps up and down* |

I want to see pretty boy heidi Remember when old ones died and new were born And life was changed, disassembled, rearranged We came together, fell apart And broke each other's hearts, Remember when ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I've got a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom." fuzzy_dragonfly Small Fry Posts: 10 Kudos: 5 Votes: 0 Registered: 15-May-2005 | Hmmm someone else mentioned a fish with red eyes being blind. Albinoism makes animals (and people) more sensitive to light, I wonder if an overexposure to light might cause blindness in albino or 'red eyed' bettas. even low light disturbs my brother's albino mice so I'm always careful to keep them in a dark space and my albino californian rabbit never ventured out of the enclosed area of the hutch during the day because of light sensitivity. Albino bettas are supposed to have no colour pigment it's odd how yours displays colours, I really can't wait to see this ususual albino betta. |
