dalmyfish Fingerling Posts: 18 Kudos: 18 Votes: 0 Registered: 15-May-2004 | what kind of critter can i keep with a male betta to take care of algae? i got an apple snail, since i thought that was safest. i think my betta just thinks he's a pretty rock, but the snail isn't doing much in regards to algae-eating. is there anything other than an algae-eater/pleco that would be ok with a betta? or will i just have to scrub it off myself? |

Im guessing that if its a typical betta tank (3g or less) then theres not much you can do. It would basically be up to you to take care of the algae. You could try a small plant like a crypt or anubias. |

My betta tanks in the livingroom get algae due to the sun coming in the windows. It isn't hard to clean, just wipe it out when you are doing your water changes. ___________________________________________ If at first you DO succeed, try not to look astonished. |
