I've had my male CT for about 2 or 3 months and he hasn't eaten ANYTHING! Not even a nibble. I've tried betta pellets, tropical pellets, betta flakes, tropical flakes, frozen brine shrimp, frozen blood worms, freeze dried blood worms, and brine shrimp pellets. Anything I put in just goes down to the gravel and sits. I've let it sit for a couple days before removing it to see if he picks at it, but no. How in the world has he been getting nutrition the past few months? There's no sign of any disease... he seems perfectly healthy. I'm stumped!

Okay he is obviously eating something... I just wonder what. Try live brine if possible or live bloodworms. Shelled peas? It is odd that he hasn't/doesn't eat.

have you tried feeding him after lights out? maybe he is afraid of eating in front of you and just waits til you leave?

For animals, the entire universe has been neatly divided into things to (a) mate with, (b) eat, (c) run away from, and (d) rocks. - Terry Pratchett

I've been leaving the food in for a couple days at a time and none of it ever disappears.

Live...

We feed all our bettas at work live food daily. That might be what he's used to, ask Jorge to bring some blackworms or something home.

I'm stumped! All I can say is if he is still alive after all this time he IS eating something.

A Betta can not live for 2 months without food, no matter how healthy he is.
