well the last of my artifically hatched bettas died today. this spawn was bred sometime in feb-march. it was two different spawns that both the fathers died(somethings up with the water) anyway i scooped out the bubbles with eggs in the "soup container lids" so it had very little water. anyway about 7 lids later with around 450 eggs(from two spawns) in a styro cooler with very little water. after around a week and they hatched out the water needed to get changed every day and at a slow pase. turns out that after a few more weeks i let them go into a grow out tank, where they were looking pretty good, but then up-keep got to me and most died. from these spawns i had around 10 left, some nice white/ and blue bettas. well as u can infer they all ended up dieing, but the experience they taught me in artifical breeding will last a life time. this worked for me and for a betta breeder that parent dies, they might want to try doing this.
