betta + stress + lack of food | |
bettachris Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3875 Kudos: 4173 Votes: 452 Registered: 13-Jun-2004 | i am in flordia for holiday, and i was at two lfs. i saw a nice looking guy that i was thinking about bringing home. but i am leaveing on sun. i plan on transporting him in a bottle of water. if i got him today before any1 buys him, would he be ok with no food and alittle stress for a few days plus a plane ride. |

I don't see how not feeding him for a day or two would hurt him - they often don't get fed at the petstore until someone buys them. I think the main issue would be keeping him at a stable temperature during the transition. Other than that, I don't really know what other advice to give you. |

Don't sweat it, providing the plane security is fine with it, no drama. I think they usually pack them in carry-on luggage between jumpers etc. |
