betta - tank compatibility question | |
NowherMan6 Fish Master Posts: 1880 Kudos: 922 Votes: 69 Registered: 21-Jun-2004 | this is kind of time sensitive. earlier I saw a betta at my LFS that looked absolutely miserable i dont buy fish from this place because they treat their fish so badly but this was one of the worst things ive seen. they keep their bettas in little plastic bags filled with blue water and this guy was in his bag but he was hanging half-way off of the shelf! i saw it, kind of turned a blind eye for a little while, then went back and fixed him so he didnt fall. but, i dunno - and this may sound very weird - i felt kind of attached at that point. i felt like buying him right there, but i try not to impulse buy fish. so my question is this: i have a 46 gallon tank, planted. im running an AC 70 on it, but there is VERY little current as i've placed a sponge in front of the outflow. there are 15 h. rasboras, 4 yo-yo loaches and a BN in the tank. would it be possible to add him to the mix, or would i have to buy a whole new set up for him? i'm not really in the position - both time and space wise - to plan anything new, so i just want to know if I can add him to that mix, or if it's too active or too big. thanks Last edited by nowherman6 at 03-Feb-2005 19:44 Last edited by nowherman6 at 04-Feb-2005 06:32 |
