betta coloring question | |
reel big mark Hobbyist Posts: 131 Kudos: 112 Registered: 29-Jun-2005 | i got my first betta a couple day ago and i have noticed that on his tail fin the end of it is a whiteish color, there is a VERY little bit of white on his other fins too, barly noticable unless u look real close, i was wondering if this was just his coloring of if anything might b wrong with the fins its me sk8freak20...i need to get premie so i can change my name back |

Faded or worn can be bacterial finrot which may have happened before you got him, or later. If it looks @all fuzzy where the white shows that's the more obvious form of fungal fin rot. Test results for ammonia, nitrIte, nitrAte, ph and temp if you have them may be of some assistance.... And yes...it could also be coloring :%) I've had a few bettas that have white on the edges of their fins. ^_^[hr width='40%'] The life, the love, You die to heal. When her fins healed, the new bits were white but slowly changed back to blue. Maybe your betta was injured and is still growing his fins back? Or it could just be a bit of marble or an uneven butterfly pattern. |
