betta feeding | |
NowherMan6 Fish Master Posts: 1880 Kudos: 922 Votes: 69 Registered: 21-Jun-2004 | as I've posted before, I recently bought my first betta. she seems to be doing very well, but the only thing that concerns me is her feeding habits. she will not eat anything besides bloodworms. she rejects betta pellets, flakes or normal tropical pellets - just either spits them out or will not even go near them. is this normal? is there any way for me to wean her onto a staple food? should i continue feeding her just the bloodworms for now..? thanks, sorry for the newbie question, never had a fish that was picky before... Since bettas can go a while without food, I suppose in extreme circumstances, you can stop feeding her for a day or two and then see if she will accept other foods. If you do, it might help to start off again with meaty foods. |
