betta setup? | |
fishyhelper288 Fish Guru Posts: 2161 Kudos: 1951 Votes: 137 Registered: 29-Feb-2004 | if i am going to be breeding my bettas for while, how should i have them set up? im getting a 100 gallon to put the females, and i have a 30 gallon also, and 4 10 gallons, and im getting a 15 gallon, (i have just bred my first pair of cambodian bettas ) in the 30 i have an overstocked comunity its all the platty/guppys fault but a bunch are going to go to a lfs im kinda sick of all the fry ever sciense my poor oscar died i have a surplus of fry, so now i am not removing them from the tanks i have a friend who is setting up a 40 gallon, and i am going to throw 90% of my fish her way dont get me wrong i like my livebearers, but when u got tooooooooooo *takes breath* oooooooo many i have enough fry and adults to fill up a 40-50 gallon i will keep some of my plattys and guppies, my danios, and white clouds, the shark? hmm i think i will give that to my friend too, (im blabbering agagin) so i will have available a 100 gallon, 30, 10, 15 who should i put in these? i will have 2 10s set up as breeding tanks (so they arnt available) and i guess i can set up dividers in the other 10s and in the 15, but that wont give me enough space for the other males i get, i have a few 1 gallons too, sould i put the young males in mason jars? any ideas welcome |

bettachris Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3875 Kudos: 4173 Votes: 452 Registered: 13-Jun-2004 | umm. if u have to many fry with livebearers why would u want to breed like 5 pairs? n.e way i wish u luck with all ur betta breeding plans. i had let it take over my life and now i regret it. but if u aren't useing the 15, use that for a rearing tank with dividers to house multi spawns. the 100 with females in it,? i hope u don't get to many females(daniel has different past than i did but when i tried to house alot of females together with all the goods like plants and stuff, it didn't work out at all.) but who knows. good luck with ur breeding future. |
