bettas and veggies | |

He mentioned on the phone last night that he's been reading a fishkeeping book. He's interested in feeding Jake veggies, specifically broccoli and green beans. I don't have much experience with bettas and veggies, so I though I'd pose the question to the experts here. Thanks so much ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

Posts: 9662 Kudos: 5261 Registered: 16-Sep-2001 | pea and lettuce are your best bets IMO, everything else is a bit hard and too flavourful. you think getting them to eat something other than that one brand of pellet is hard, wait til you try veggies! i have found feeding my live food the veggies works much better, it also assists the bettas to digest the green matter as in all probability their gut is set up to digest insects/meat and not peas/beans, but by having the live food digest it first, it gives the betta easier access at the vitamins etc. |
