I have honey, sparkling, and 3 striped croaking gouramis in my 20l. None of them were purchased with the intent to breed, and by looks I always assumed they were same sex. Tonight though I actually heard the croaker, which was very cool, and two of them were displaying. The honeys have been staying close together, and I noticed a very large bubble nest in the back corner of the tank. Will any of these fish build a bubble nest without a female present?

edit: also, any ideas how to sex any of these three species?

If its large, i'd say it was the Honeys.

And if you find out how to sex them, i'd love to know.

The best i have come up with is looking for the egg triangle, but thats not easy to see.
