can a male pearl gouramis mate with a female Pwd Blue?

the pearl chases the female more then the male pwd blue does
the two males really dont pay to much attention to eachother , however the pearl is always chasing the female pwd blue

It could be a territory problem, or the male may just not like that particular fish.

EDIT: And no, they aren't going to be breeding together.

If it is just occasional or halfhearted chasing, then there's nothing to worry about. The female gourami won’t get all bent out of shape from stress. Even if the chasing is more aggressive in nature, the fish will be okay as long as there is room in the tank to get away from the aggressor, and the she (the chasee) has places to hide. If the tank is relatively small and/or there aren’t many hiding places, then yes, you may need to take the pearl out.
