If the males are fighting ALOT, that answers your question. What kinda setup? Lotsa places for them to get away from each other? What size tank, and what type of Gourami?
I've found Dwarves can be pretty nasty toward each other, and sometimes to other fish in general. And I'm talking about keeping them in not just smaller tanks, but up to a 6ft long tank..and having 2 males..and having to separate them. And, eventually, one male wasn't even working with the OTHER fish in the tank. Ideally, with dwarves, you might want a male and a few females so he doesn't harrass one all of the time.. unless you have a really passive male. But it doesn't sound like you do.

If they are fighting alot, you must remove one of them. If you'll get any females, it's better to get 2 females for each male.
Do you have any hiding places or plants?.

That's odd, I've never had problems with gourami aggression, but I've always had mine in 55g tanks. If it's cramped for space, not enough places to hide, or not enough females, then that's why. You ought to remove one of them for sure.

I've had Gouramies in a 125 gal that were aggressive (like one lil male dwarf that thought he was BAD).. and some psycho blue gouramies..actually, various types of 3spots..but that's another story.
