I just came home to fine my beautify red long fined female with chunks missing out of her!She's isolated and can swim to he top of hte jar, but doesn't seem to feel like eating. She's missing a small chunk on h er side at her belly, about where it begins to sewll when they're full of eggs. TigerAngel Fish Addict Posts: 522 Registered: 22-Feb-2004	Ferox, separate the two girls, they don't get on, and get some melafix or bettafix. This will help torn fins and cuts. You are wise, no scents getting more when you have injured ones. Some female bettas can tolerate each other, but some don't. These two don't.

Add salt and melafx and if you have some, a meth/mal/acriflavin mix. That will cover most bases. Feed her in 3 days or when she begs for food. Cross your fingers. I really thought she was going to be ok, she was swimming to the top all the time. I put the probably killer into a betta baracks next to another particularly vicious female. They spent most of the night trying to kill each other thorough the plastic. The cambodian might also have been hurt that day, but it's hard to tell.
