Pearls really do better in at least trios, imho, a male and 2 females..or in larger groups with one male. I have 6 females and a male in a 125 gal.. As long as the Dwarf gourami is ok they should be fine..even if the dwarf has an attitude, the Pearls size should throw it off.. |

Did, however, have quite a nasty dwarf at the beginning of the year that attacked the other female in the tank and even the zebra danios. But I got a female betta, she seemed to sort hime out. Unfortunately, both of those gouramis were victims of an attack from kribs. and the kribs died in the end.... weird. sumo [span class="edited"][Edited by 2004-09-07 03:34][/span] |

I keep a number of different Gourami together with no problems at all. I find a lot of the time gourami aggression is between males of the same species. 2 male Blues may fight or 2 male dwarves may fight, but a male Blue and a male dwarf will probably pretty much ignore one another. I'd think you would be fine with a dwarf and a Pearl. Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |
