hrmmm...siamese fighting fish? | |
reun Big Fish Posts: 332 Kudos: 216 Registered: 04-Nov-2005 | its listed as a crown tail betta...anyway, its pretty. he is currently in a small 2 gallon tank with a minature filter in it, a lil vegitation and some gravel...very simple tank with blue backround. i was told one of these would be best for such a small tank. he is kept in our bathroom now, with plenty of indirect daylight, not much to disturb him, and the bathroom has a seperate thermostat, the room is kept over 70 degrees...water temp is low, i know, but, its consistent, the door to the bathroom remains closed at all times(two year old in the house)...so i am hoping he will stay healthy... p.s. the pic here is when he was flared up by the sink...i removed the hand soap to the right in the picture...he viewed this as competition...there was some light blue in the label that caught his eye...the soap was moved to the other side of the sink and he calmed down...made for a good picture though i spose... pretty red fins!!! ps.ps. my daughter has dubbed him nemo for some reason...(she knows what clownfish look like and ussually only calls the clownfish at the pet store in the salt tanks nemos, but, we will let the name stick...you are looking at prolly the first siamese male fighting fish to be called nemo, lol) Last edited by reun at 02-Dec-2005 02:27 |

Always leave him in indirect sunlight, as direct sunlight will increase the Algae growth in your tank. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

I can't see him too well, but from what I can see he looks like a cambodian. Its not the traditional cream body/red fins, but its a cream ba Very cute fish |

Fish tanks are an expensive addiction |
