in response to racso and that huge thread...

i now have mr. beaumont in his personal 5 gallon aquarium. (noticed some snails that stowed away on his live plant this morning).
he is whipping around, checking out every crevice and is amazingly healthy looking. i have lots of buckets (only need 2) for his water change. and i can not believe i kept suicide and purpley in small one gallon drink pitchers.
he is so happy and fancy free!

Just curious... what kind of filter did you end up going with?

no filter because i have no substrate. just a plant in a pot, and a spot in the room that maintains a constant temp.
