i've tried ottos in my 10g but they don't last more than a month and i'm starting to have algae problems, mostly hairy algae now but some on the glass as well. just looking for something to put in there that will eat it that won't die right away

My almanos did great with my betta. He like to flare at them once in a while. I never lost on to him.

ghost shrimp can live with bettas, but it all depends on the personality of the betta, they might end up as lunch.

Also, betta/shrimp compatibility has to do with the size of the betta, and the size of the shrimp.
