Like getting the pecking order and whatever else. I have also heard that it is only the males that do this as well. But as they can't be sexed easily it is hard to determine if this is correct. They will grow pretty quick and to at least 6 in. Usually more depending on the size of the tank. They are pretty cool fish tho. |

Usually the female is "allowed to win" my Uncle says He has had this particular pair for 23 years, purchased together when they were less than 2 inches in length. They are now about 14-15 inches each and very lovely and dignified in their old age. He keeps his in a 108g tank. Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |

A tank 85g or larger is really needed to house this large territorial fish. They also can live well over 30 years if given enough room to grow to full size. As I said, my Uncles pair are 14-15 inches and 23 years old. Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |

I also say little kissing gouramis that had bloated stomachs. They called them baloon kissing gouramis. I wonder if they are any smaller than the regulars... |
