It would be best to leave your Betta alone, but if you desperately want something with your Betta get a few bumblebee gobies or bristlenoses.

Gourami Mega Fish Posts: 1205 Kudos: 477 Votes: 1 Registered: 23-Apr-2002	Bubble bee gobys are brackish and nippy. BN get to big for a 5 gallon tank. You would be best to keep your betta alone. If you really want something else in there get a frog or shrimp.

Posts: 9662 Kudos: 5261 Registered: 16-Sep-2001	Otocinclus also work, you could get a pair of those, but you would have to watch your water quality as the poo a lot. get a good filter to handle the biowaste. You could also go with snails, or shrimp. I have heard of success with neons too, but others say they are nippy.
