Keep in mind of genetics, crowntailing could be one of those recessive characteristics, thus needing to have the correct coding come from both mother and father to show this trait. And the parent wouldn't necessarily show the characteristic, but just be a career of the gene... heidi "I've got a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom." Thomas Carlyle |

Callatya Moderator The girl's got crabs! Posts: 9662 Kudos: 5261 Registered: 16-Sep-2001 | Depends Puggle. A lot of VT females have extended rays, but they aren't *really* CTs. Males can look similar as juvies. Also, sometimes with CT fish, if they aren't of the best tail type breeding (often on new colours and new tail types), the webbing keeps growing and they end up looking like a delta by the time they are 6-9 months old. I'd take a punt that these guys are probably not going to be too crowny by the time they are 6months old but well, i LOVE crowning on fry, so its fun to see anyway WELL DONE KATIE (do we get pictures soon?) |
