I'd agree, too... has more of a belly like my girls, and I think I see the oviposter, though it's a bit hard to tell. Very nice fish. Last edited by Kitty Kitty Kitty at 19-Apr-2005 22:18 ~Meow. ontariobetta Enthusiast Posts: 227 Kudos: 243 Votes: 2 Registered: 17-Jul-2004 | Hmmmmm thats a tough one... but i'll say its a young male (just to be difficult ) The body shape doesn't have the typical female 'curves', and anal is really long and pointy. |

trystianity Mega Fish Posts: 1028 Kudos: 926 Votes: 49 Registered: 20-Mar-2004 | Sorry, looks male to me..... The tail type is called a spade tail, but I have also seen them called pin tails. They aren't very common now but they used to be around more often.....it isn't really a sought-after tail type, just slightly better than a veil tail really....linky "HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR SHOW QUALITY DISPLAYING OR BREEDING!!!!!" ~ not really....the tail is a bit droopy and not symmetrical, so it really isn't even a good example of a spade/pin tail....
