What kind of fish have you kept with paradise fish and not had problems?

I have mine with a pleco and female betta but am soon going to buy a 29 and put them in it. I want to add some more fish to this 29 but dont know what would go well. I really would like to add tetras but know they would most likely be picked or killed....from what Ive read anyway. My betta and paradise dont fight at all, even at feeding time when both are going for the same piece of food. But I know that doesnt mean they wouldnt be aggressive toward other fish.

Once the tank is good and well established, Id really like to add a pair of kribs but FP Compatabilty says this will not work. What about Dwarf Puffers? I thought these would be expensive but my LFS has them for only 3.98!!

If you check under my profile, I have had 4 x paradise (one may have been male, but if it was it was very docile) in with barbs, WCMMs, danios, SAE, CAE, guppies, bettas, mosquitofish, mussels, snails, platies, swords and a whole bunch of other standard issue trops with no problems.

Had an albino in with platies, kuhlies, shrimp, snails and SAE, and he was no drama either

they are quite docile fish IME, just try not to tempt them with long fins or fish that will niggle at them to get attention

For animals, the entire universe has been neatly divided into things to (a) mate with, (b) eat, (c) run away from, and (d) rocks. - Terry Pratchett

I had a female paradise in my 29g with platies, cories, and a BN.

I currently have a male in a 30g with neons, cories, a RTBS, and a BN. He has never bothered any of the other fish. Actually he tries to imitate them and fit in...I'll catch him in the middle of the neon school or resting on the bottom with the cories Very interesting, personable fish that I've always liked.

Kribs would be a problem if/when they bred. Dwarf puffers tend to be nippy and most people find that they're best in a species-only tank.
