how would i tell the difference between sexes of paradise fish. my mother just bought three of them to put into a 2 foot tank despite my warnings of agression when they are older. ive never actually kept paradise though i have kept a number of fighters and gouramis over the years.

so yeah what about how long shes got before they start killing each other? or ne other fish for that matter, she really wants to put a small school of penguin tetra in there later.

o but wait theres more... i though i should share that ive been lucky enough to find a good quality brown fighter. not just a white one from poor breeding but an actual high quality, uniform light brown fighter without even purple hues... thats very rare over here. just thought i would gloat. lol.

Female paradise fish are lighter than males and have shorter, slightly more rounded fins. The fins of males tend to have a long "thread" at the end of them. Hard to describe, but if you look at a couple pics you'll get the idea.
