pearl problems | |

When I got the pearls as juveniles bout 9 months ago, I thought I was getting one male and two females. But as it turned out, one of the "females" grew up to be a male. He's completely dominated by the other male, and spends nearly all his time hiding, although he does come out to eat and definitely enjoys his dinner. I have an empty 55 gallon and am thinking of moving all three into it and perhaps adding a few more females. But will that solve the problem? Or is the dominant male likely to take over the entire 55 gallon? Am I better off separating them completely? |

In the 30Gal. you can have 1 male & 2 females Pearl Gourami & add a couple of Corydoras & in the 55Gal. you can have 1 male & 2 females Pearl Gourami & the Platies & you can add some other fish that you want. http://www.deathbydyeing.org/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |
