if u happen to be in atlantic city NJ go 5-10 miles away from the boardwalk and right before u hit hamliton mall there's a petsmart which i would give 5 out 5 stars. The fish there are healthy the bettas are well treated. I found alot of nice bettas there.

It's no really the store. It's the people that work at them. You can tell if people are there to earn a pay check, or they really care about what they do.

I don't care if it's Walmart, PETCO, PetSmart... etc. It comes down to caring about what you do.

I have driven a School Bus for the past 8 years. If I didn't care about what I did, I would slap every kid on the bus and drop them off where ever I wanted to. But I don't cuz "I CARE".

That's nice to hear. There's definitely a difference in quality between any stores. One cs frequently mentioned here has a terrible fish department at the location nearest me, one of the cps here I would never buy fish from. Yet both of these stores people have had good luck with at other locations. Another cps has a location here I'd rate a 1; there's another a bit further away which I'd give a 3; and not long ago we were travelling out of state and stopped at the same chaing, that location I'd give a 5.

They just opened a new Petsmart by me and their fish department has some sort of complicated looking drip system that's connected to the main tanks for their bettas. No little cups in this store and the water is always crystal clear and 0 dead/unhappy looking fish. I give them a 4 out of 5 because their selection on regular fish isn't as good as some Petsmarts I've been to.
