bettachris Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3875 Kudos: 4173 Votes: 452 Registered: 13-Jun-2004	shouldn't bettas be the number one thoughest fish? they get the most aboused. people buy them at lfs and through them into there tanks, with real power filters, and fin nippers. they get fought by beginners, added to aggressive community tanks, etc.

Janna Mega Fish Posts: 1386 Registered: 24-Aug-2003	I have to say, although they are put through some rough stuff, they aren't the most abused. That title clearly goes to the goldfish. The sheer number of them killed in bowls and other small tanks dwarfs betta fatalities. They shade the glow of it with their mossy-misty costumes, They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver, So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
