i haven't been able to figure out wat kind of fin shape this is. one of my lfs always have these bettas. maybe fin rot.

Looks like fin rot to me. On the other hand, in a post I made on my [link=newest betta]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Advanced%20Betta%20Care/56505.html" style="COLOR: #9900FF[/link], Light Bright suggested it could be a quality of overbred whites? I dunno. My guy's tail doesn't seem to have grown much despite treatment.

there have been a few VTs coming through that almost look like they have been cut. Not sure if they have or not. It just seems to be mighty coincidental that the rot takes such a straight path and doesn't seem to affect any other fins or leave much infection
