Before the forums burned up I had this little thread about my color changing better. I think by now her color shift is complete... that is, there is no more color to shift

in the next set of photos you can see what has happened to her over time. The only thing that is missing is a photo from when I first got her. Back then she was completely red. I only got the digital cam three weeks after I got her, so therefore I missed the first part of her transformation. Anyway, here they are:

that is wild! I've heard of them changing color (and seen it to a very slight extent in a couple of mine) but never to that extent.

That's amazing. I've never seen anything like that. Still a pretty little betta, though!

I had a very similar experience with one of my Betta girls... She went from drab to beautiful!!! (Wish I was smart as you! Not only did you think to take pictures while the transformation was going on --- you also know how to work your camera! BEAUTIFUL FISH & BEAUTIFUL PICS!)

My particular female was really quite homely in the beginning ---- The reason I picked her up was because of the deplorable water conditions she was in at the dept store where I found her, and I was afraid that no one else would want her.... So I took her home.... Figured since all my other females were vibrantly colored in various hues, this one little ugly duckling wouldn't hurt... BOY WAS I WRONG ABOUT HER!!!! Her body coloring became a lovely rose pink, fins eventually turned deep red and the final touch to her beauty was the lovely shade of blue that eventually radiated into her fins!!!!! She is simply OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a betta that I'd gotten from walmart that was a fleshy-brown color (like the background to the forum) and she changed over a month to a beautiful blue/green color

its really wild, not sure why it happens like that though
