I'm taking 2 of my fish and my friend's fish home on Sunday, 21/2 hours in the car. My fish'll probably be fine, they're both tough lads, both rescues and pretty much put up with everything. My friend's fish issomething a bit speial and delicate. Clearly it has some CT in it somewhere, and just her carrying it from mer house to mine (we live next door) was enough to bring out his stress stripes for 5-6 hours and for him to refuse to feed this morning.

HOw is he gonna be with 21/2 hours then, is there any way I can calm him down (you can't get stuff like bag buddies here though) so he makes it through the trip OK?

I like to think that whoever designed marine life was thinking of it as basically an entertainment medium. That would explain some of the things down there, some of the unearthly biological contraptions

Odd...I have never found even CTs to be that delicate....heck I have carried one around in a small plastic cup in my coat pocket for hours on a couple of occasions, and they were right as rain 10 minutes after being released into their new tank.

Perhpas transporting it in a completely opaque container would help.

I would just put his container in a brown papper bag or 2 and seal it shut. He should be ok.

I would transport in a bag of water, then in the container. I find that they slosh around and hit the sides of the container...they get all freaked out. And make sure the temp doesn't get too cold for him...maybe a warm towel in the container.
