Glass bloodfins are okay, but there are other (and nicer looking, if you ask me) options. Cardinals are very nice, as are blue tetras, and silvertips are cool, too. I wouldn't go with platies though, because they aren't schooling fish. |

possum Hobbyist Posts: 68 Votes: 0 Registered: 30-Oct-2004 | i think that the glass bloodfins are really cool ( i seem to like albino fish) cardeinels are really pretty but to expensive. i need the cheaper options as i'm not earning money ( i'm not a adult). when i was getting fish for this tank i brought mostly bottom dwellers as they are my favorite water level of fish , but now the top and middle looks bare. i really love danios - is there a type that doesn't nip fins? |

fishyhelper288 Fish Guru Posts: 2161 Kudos: 1951 Votes: 137 Registered: 29-Feb-2004 | i would go with some long fin danios, maybe, ah, wait, how many inches are already used? if there arn't any used yet, besides the betta , get about 8, but buy them like 2-3 at a time, buying all of them at once will cause an over load on the biofilter too fast, it has to be gradual, at lest thats whet i keep getting told but they are quite attractive, they stick together like glue, well, mine do, and in larger groups they are less likleyto nip, and withthe long fins they pick on eachother, or not at all |

My betta was put in a 10g at first with 7 young 1 inch marbled hatchetfish and within 24 hours killed 3 of them. He immediately moved to my 90g tank for a brief period in a breeder trap (4-5 days), after which he was removed. He is with many different types of fish, and only chases a single female leopard danio. Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |
