bruce Fingerling Posts: 40 Kudos: 34 Votes: 0 Registered: 07-Feb-2005 | Last night my mickey mouse platy burst... I went to bed looked in to feed them and my mickey mouse platy was floating at the top with what looked like her intestines hanging out.. I was mordified... I knew she was prego, so last month I thought it was time she was HUGE so I put her in the breeding tank and nothing happened. she was in there for about a week, so I though I miss read the signs and put her back in the big tank, and I kept waiting for her to drop, I have two females that droped there babies fine in that tank, so thought I'll leave her there and if she has them great...But nothing happened for a month, then last night it was awful.. The only good thing out of it is I have three of her little babies that I found swimming around safe. How can I prevent this from ever happening again, and what could have went wrong....?
