Peter17 Enthusiast Posts: 230 Kudos: 208 Votes: 1 Registered: 31-Dec-2004 | You guys are probably gonna yell @ me but w/e....i went to my lfs and got some molly fry for my 10g.....only two but i couldnt resist....they are about 1cm and a 1/4....they are yellow....they are in a baby little nursery net thing and are doin fine....any tips? 20 GALLON LONG CURRENTLY EMPTY ~~~~ 10 GALLON W/ STRIPPED CONVICT |

Feed them and care for them as you would any other livebearer fry(obviously). Just be ready for rehousing them if need be. They are one of the bigger livebearer species(four inches for black mollies and 6 for sailfins). I'll do graffiti, If you sing to me in French. |

sham Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3369 Kudos: 2782 Votes: 98 Registered: 21-Apr-2004 | Mollies have been tankbred so long they do fine in 100% freshwater to 100% saltwater. I would not worry about adding salt and I definitely wouldn't add it to a tank with an oto. Crushed flakes work fine for raising livebearer fry but they would enjoy some bbs. You can also crush up other foods you have and mix it together for some variety. I crush together 2 kinds of flakes, shrimp pellets, a little spirulina pellet, and some freeze dried bloodworms. |
