I believe that mollies eat most types of green algae. They won't eat nearly as many kinds as the specialized algae-eaters, but they will gobble up many common algaes, if they're hungry enough.

I just buy my livebearers algae tablets, they love them.

Mine never seem to touch the brown algae on the glass, if they do I don't seem to notice.
