Generally, swordtails can start breeding at around six months of age, give or take a week or two due to individual differences and other influences on growth.

There can be some aggression among males, but having 3 females per male is a good way to limit hostility. If you have a very spacious tank, that will help, too.

That's not too many, but you should give your tetras more companions of their kinds so they will be happier.

I agree, Tetras like to be in schools of around atleast 5-6 others to be Happy.

But I have seen that different types of tetras have been known to school with eachother.

Again Edith, many people here
are giving you solid good advice.
I know you believe that these fish
are fine alone, but some people also believe
there are alien human hybrids on this planet,
both theories are wrong.
Either up the number of Tetras or get rid
of them. Its not fair to the fish to not
give it what it needs, espescially for schooling
fish. Its just plain mean in my opinion.
If you cant provide what your fish need,
why keep them?
Thatd be like keeping a dog and feeding it only
once every 3 days because the dog "looks ok" and
"plays with the cats and people".
Doesnt make it right.
