	Could Endler's and mollies hybridize?
littlemousling Conchiform Posts: 5230 Registered: 23-Aug-2003	Since guppies and mollies are so likely to hybridize, I was wondering if the same was likely for Endler's and sailfins, either P. latipinna or P. velifera. Thanks! -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com!

It would be like trying to breed a Great Dane with a tiny Yorkshire Terrier. Genetically it's possible, but it would be nearly impossible for them to successfully mate. I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

But that really is pushing it i think. I have never even had my guppies try to cross with my mollies. Or vice versa, and ive kept the two together quite alot in my nine years of fish keeping. Might be worth trying.
