Do Endlers school a little? | |
thetunnelfades Big Fish Posts: 382 Kudos: 219 Votes: 0 Registered: 13-Oct-2003 | I bought three Endlers today, and I must say that I am so smitten with them! They are absolutely beautiful! Anyways, I noticed that these little guys are really sticking together around the tank. Are Endlers more inclined to stick together because of their distinct patterning? I know pattern recognition is why most fish school. Has anyone ever seen this type of behavior in there Endlers? I am just curious because I plan on buying more of these little cuties |

I cannot think of any livebearer that I'd say with certainty is a schooling fish, but most fish tend to stick together in unfamiliar situations like yours are doing. My response would be that I've never seen any kind of schooling behaviour with my Endlers, except, as kmlubahn has pointed out, when interested males are ganging up on the females- which is pretty much all the time actually... I tend not to watch at all anymore... |
