Female Swordtail Not Losing Egg Pouch | |
horselvr8495 Small Fry Posts: 14 Kudos: 9 Votes: 0 Registered: 02-Apr-2004 | I have had a male and a female swordtail for a while now. As long as I can remember, my female has had the characteristic black stomach from being pregnant. The thing that confuses me, is she has had the black spot since well before christmas. Is it possible that they will hold their eggs for as long as they please? Any ideas or comments will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! |

I had one in there for about a week and she never had the fry, and kept the black tummy. It was also her second time in there and I was told that they dont do very well after the first 'batch'. |
